Seachtain na Gaelige (Irish Language Week) is an international celebration of the Irish language and it takes place from March 1st – 17th.

The festival gives everyone the chance to enjoy the Irish language – from fluent speakers to people who might only know a few words.

Seachtain na Gaelige (SNAG) has grown from strength to strength in recent years, so much so that it no longer lasts for just a week. There are many different events taking place during SNAG such as tea and coffee mornings, book fairs, sports days, plays, table quizzes and traditional music sessions.

The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Bain triail asti – surprise yourself’ to show that anyone can use the language and culture!
