Welcome to the 2026 SuperValu TidyTowns Competition

In this section, you will information on how to enter the main competition as well as this year’s Special Awards.

How do I submit my entry form?

  • Download the 2026 entry form from the link above.
  • Save and complete in Microsoft Word document or PDF format only.
  • Go to competition.tidytowns.ie, click on register your 2026 entry, enter your group details and upload your competed form and map.
  • Once your entry is registered, a message will appear on your screen confirming your registration. A list of registered entries will be updated daily here – competition.tidytowns.ie

Please note:

  • A clear map must be included with the completed entry form. Photographs may also be provided with the form to assist the TidyTowns adjudicators in their assessment.
  • All participants are encouraged to prepare a multi-annual strategic plan to guide their activities. This may be uploaded with the entry form. However, it is not a requirement for entry.

An information booklet is published each year after the competition is launched – we strongly urge groups to read this thoroughly when entering the competition.

FAQs

Q: Why has the TidyTowns submission process changed?

A: We have introduced the online entry portal to make submissions easier and more secure for groups. The portal reduces email traffic, prevents information going missing and allows you to track your submission status.

Q: How do I register my entry

A: Go to competition.tidytowns.ie, click on register your 2026 entry, enter your group details and upload your competed form and map.

Q: Am I still required to email my entry form?

A: No. All entry forms and supporting documents must be submitted through the online portal.

Q: Will I know if the entry form has been submitted successfully

A: Yes – Once you have submitted your entry form a confirmation message will be displayed on screen with a unique registration reference number

Q: Can I submit more than 1 document

A: Yes, you can submit 1 entry form and 7 supporting documents

  • One Entry Form document (maximum size: 20 MB)
  • Up to 7 Supporting Documents (each with a maximum size of 6 MB)

Q: Can I upload documents in PDF & Word format

A: Yes, however when in PDF format it reduces the size of a document

Q: Can I upload photos?

A: Yes, however we would advise you to include photos in a word/PDF document and upload as 1 file.

Q: What should I do if the portal is not working?

A: Refresh the page, clear your browser cache, or use a different browser. If the issue persists, contact us by email TidyTowns@drcdg.gov.ie or phone 01 773 6988

Q: Do I need to input any information prior to uploading the entry form and documents?

A: Yes, on page 2 you will be required to enter the below information

  • Town name:
  •  Prize category – (Population category)
  • Organisation Name
  • Contact name
  • Address – including Eircode
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Social media handles (optional)

Page 3 you will be able to upload your entry documents

Q: Who should I contact if I need help with my submission?

A: If you experience technical difficulties or have questions about the submission process, please contact the TidyTowns Unit by email TidyTowns@drcdg.gov.ie or phone 01 773 6988

Q: Should I contact the TidyTowns Unit to make sure that they have received my entry?

A: Once you have submitted your entry form a confirmation message will be displayed on screen with a unique registration reference number. You can also check the list of registered entries which will be regularly updated –  competition.tidytowns.ie
