Supervalu & TidyTowns

Welcome to the TidyTowns website.

Here, you will find information on the SuperValu TidyTowns competition, how to enter, as well as how the competition is judged. You will also find details on how to start your own TidyTowns group and department funding available to competition entrants.

The SuperValu TidyTowns competition has been proudly sponsored by SuperValu for over 35 years, making it one of the longest‑running sponsorships in the country. At SuperValu we believe communities are better when we all work together. The competition has become one of the most important sustainability initiatives in Ireland, both environmentally and from a community perspective. SuperValu TidyTowns is committed to empowering and supporting communities in sustainability, biodiversity, climate change and inclusivity.

The competition is administered by the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht. Our current Minister is Minister Dara Calleary, T.D. The TidyTowns Unit of the Department is responsible for the administration of the competition. We are a small, yet dedicated unit, committed to ensuring the competition thrives.

Please feel free to send us photos and information on your projects – we love hearing about all your wonderful TidyTowns initiatives.

We look forward to meeting you at our awards ceremonies and events throughout the year.
