Funding
Since 2017, the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht has provided over €11 million in grant funding to TidyTowns groups nationwide. This grant is administered by Pobal on behalf of the Department.
In 2024, €1.5 million in funding was announced for 983 eligible TidyTowns groups. This funding is intended to aid groups with their competition entry or to fund projects with a sustainability/climate focussed outcome.
We encourage groups to look at projects for their green spaces and parks, and projects that are sensitive to our biodiversity and promote sustainable living. TidyTowns groups have been at the forefront in developing wild flower meadows, pollinator friendly planting and initiatives to support our wildlife.
Who can apply for the TidyTowns grant?
Eligible groups for this grant are those groups that have entered the SuperValu TidyTowns competition within the last 3 years.
