18.06.12 - Ireland Amateur Photography Competition 2012
To celebrate “2012 International Year of the Rural Landscape”, the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS)
has launched an Amateur Photography Competition.
As part of this competition, people all over Ireland are being invited to submit a photograph of an Irish rural scene, showcasing the character of Ireland's authentic and historical countryside.
There are three age categories:
- Junior (under 10)
- Youth (10-18)
- Adult (18+)
The closing date for entries is September, 28th 2012 and the winners will be announced by November, 30th 2012.
The winning entries will be on display at the National Museum of Country Life and on the Heritage Council and ICOMOS Websites as well.
