22.07.10 - Newbridge Unveils Art in the Park!
Newbridge TidyTowns Group has welcomed the unveiling of a new sculpture at the entrance to the Town Park.
The piece, entitled Cosantóir (Protector), is an image of a swan with its wings outstretched, guarding the entrance to the Town Park.
Local sculptor, Annette McCormack, designed and created the piece, which was financed by the Town Council.
In addition, an Arts & Heritage trail has just been unveiled in Newbridge with new Heritage Signage identifying many of the historical sites and events which are of importance to the town.
